Start this New Year with a new hope! This year brings with it a hope and a chance to get a fresh start on growing your family. Like any new year’s resolution, it doesn’t just happen. It takes time, a willingness to see where there’s room for improvement, and the discipline to take steps to improve the situation.
As you start on your journey toward growing your family in this new year 2020, We at First Step IVF would like to propose the following “New Year’s Resolutions” to help you achieve parenthood.
1. Talk About It
The most common and the biggest obstacle to infertility is the ability to discuss about it. An open communication is a mandatory and can prove to be helpful part of the process toward growing your family. As a couple, take out the time to talk honestly with each other about your goals, your expectations and your concerns. As you will have these conversations you should also take out some time to go to a counsellor together, or you can also opt to talk with a fertility specialist to understand your options.
2. Get Tested
This advice applies to both men and women. People are not interested to get tested for infertility because of the fear that it will be a topic of shame. The fact is, if there is an issue, there is a solution as well, if you simply wish for it to go away that would really not be going to help.
3. Take Care of Yourself
Infertility can be stressful, and can bring up all manner of self-doubts and anxieties. This in turn can lead to loss of appetite, sleeplessness, and stress. The way to counter these issues is self-care. Give yourself time for exercise, meditation, relaxation, health and beauty treatments; whatever makes you feel better about yourself is a good idea.
Talk to your doctor or a nutritionist about ways to eat better.
4. Don’t Fear the Cost
Many couples and single parents don’t even consider fertility treatment because they think, “It’s so expensive. I could never afford that.” But the fact is, as IVF becomes more commonplace the costs are also going down. Talking with your health insurance provider is a good place to start. Find out if they provide coverage for infertility treatments as they may be able to help.
5. Get Help
Whether you’re trying to get pregnant or just looking for an advice to help you grow your family in the future, this is the time to talk with a fertility expert. A discussion with a fertility specialist can help you plan for future and you can also learn about the various available options that you might don’t have heard about.
If you have any questions, or if you like to have a consultation with the experts at First Step IVF, then don’t delay and book an appointment today!!
It's always recommended to take a second opinion with the experts.
